HIT panel OKs health data privacy, security proposals

The HIT Policy Committee on Friday approved its Tiger Team's recommendations designed to address security and privacy issues relating to personal health data exchange. The proposals include using electronic data exchange credentials and giving ONC an enforcement role in the credentialing process.
