Ga. law requires children age 8 and under to use booster seats

Georgia on Friday will implement a new state law that extends the age requirement to buckle up children in booster seats from 6 to 8. Children under 8 years old who are at least 4 feet, 9 inches tall are exempted from the law. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta reports that in the past four years, 95% of 6- to 8-year-olds treated for crash-related injuries were not properly restrained.
