RFA's Hartwig: E15 label shows EPA is responsive to industry input

The Environmental Protection Agency's E15 label isn't perfect, but it is better than the agency's initial proposal, according to Matt Hartwig, communications director for the Renewable Fuels Association. "This final label will not unintentionally impede or discourage consumers from using E15 and the RFA certainly appreciates the EPA listening and including comments we submitted on the proposed label," Hartwig writes. The challenge now is how to improve market access for E15, Hartwig writes, adding that the RFA is working with retailers and regulators to promote E15 and address "misfueling concerns."
