World's oldest Champagne finds a new home in Singapore

Julia Sherstyuk of the Russian haute-cuisine restaurant Buyan in Singapore recently paid $42,758 for what is believed to be the world's oldest bottle of Champagne, a Veuve Cliquot from 1841. She said the bottle helps the restaurant "convey a sense of Russian history and culture," and will be exhibited alongside other prestigious wines at the restaurant.
