Analysis: Homebuilders don't need to fear mortgage rates

Rising mortgage rates could, in theory, derail recovery of the U.S. housing market, but there's little chance of that happening anytime soon, according to The Economist. "The downward revision of America's already tepid rate of [gross domestic product] growth in the first quarter, reported on June 26th, will probably ensure that the day when the [Federal Reserve] raises short-term interest rates remains distant," the magazine says.
