AOL.Live anchor contest draws 8 million viewers in 2 days

AOL turned its search for a new host for AOL.Live into a reality show in the style of "American Idol," encouraging tryouts with open auditions in New York City and converting the live stream into 8 million views in two days with a selection contest. "The show may not produce the next Brian Williams, but it still might give CNN a run for its money," writes Madeline McMahon.
