Industry questions China's wealth-management regulation

Participants at a conference for China's financial industry have called for standardisation of rules on wealth-management products, a rapidly growing sector. "Wealth-management institutions need a common operating environment. ... Domestically, we have banks, securities firms and insurance companies all providing wealth management, but in these three industries, operating standards, their regulations and the complexity of their product design are all different," said Zhu Congjiu, vice governor of the Zhejiang province.
