Wal-Mart strips Fla. community of food-desert status

A Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market store has opened in Washington Shores, a neighborhood in Orlando, Fla., that had no full-service grocery. "It makes the community a little bit healthier in terms of having access to fresh food and from an economic perspective, in terms of jobs and saving a little bit of money," City Commissioner Sam Ings said.
