Bill aims to improve care coordination for very ill children on Medicaid

Reps. Joe Barton, R-Texas, and Kathy Castor, D-Fla., introduced a bipartisan bill last week that would create a care coordination program for children on Medicaid with medically complex conditions, such as leukemia or Down syndrome. The legislation could save $13 billion in government spending over the next decade, Children's Medical Center spokeswoman Meagan Abendschein said.
