Study: Diet high in fat, sugar may cause more liver damage

Western-style diets with high sugar and fat levels may lead to more liver damage than those that are just high fat, according to an Italian study that used rats. The report found fructose combined with high fat levels increased liver fat accumulation and decreased insulin sensitivity.
