Alaska to offer classes online

To help meet the mandates of the No Child Left Behind Act, Alaska is preparing a series of online courses for rural schools. Due to the small size of many schools in the state, teachers often teach outside their subject areas or are not equipped to teach high-level courses, a problem the online courses seek to redress.
