CDC panel recommends pertussis booster for teens

An advisory committee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended U.S. teenagers receive a whooping cough booster shot to maintain their immunity. The panel said the pertussis shot should be included with boosters for tetanus and diphtheria, which also are recommended for adolescents.
