"Close encounter" opportunities may help dispel shark fears

An increasing number of dive operators and aquariums are offering tourists the chance to get up close and personal with sharks, and some say these opportunities may help counteract anxiety sparked by high-profile shark attacks. The Florida Aquarium in Tampa, Fla., consistently sells out its "Dive With Sharks" program, which the aquarium's Andrea Davis says is "designed to turn fear into fascination and respect."
