Paulson: Doha might produce breakthrough on food prices

U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said Tuesday that a breakthrough in the Doha round of trade talks would help control global food inflation but that there were "no obvious short-term solutions" to high oil prices. He called for more investment in alternative energy and fuel conservation, as well as great oil production. About food prices, he said trade restrictions and export controls "aren't helpful."
