Financial sector under pressure to sublet office space

Hedge funds and private-equity firms that leased space at the top of the market are taking a beating on their real estate, now that they need to sublet office space that they don't use any more. Some are offering to sublet space for as much as 30% less than their own rental rates. In some cases, financial firms have paid their landlords to take back space.
