Sources: SEC considers changes to stock option disclosures

The Securities and Exchange Commission is looking into disclosure requirements for companies that award their executives with stock options, sources said. Also, shareholders at companies that received funds through the Troubled Asset Relief Program might be given a greater say on executive pay. The Obama administration would like the SEC to have the authority to give shareholders of publicly traded companies a nonbinding vote on executive compensation.
