"Interdisciplinary teamwork is core to providing patient-focused care, quality and safe care," said Carole Kenner, professor and dean of Northeastern University's School of Nursing in Boston. Carol Cheney, director of simulation and innovation at Banner Health in Arizona, suggests that training hospital nurses and doctors together can establish respect and a true team dynamic.
