FAA proposal on helicopter route sparks 910 comments

A proposed rule by the Federal Aviation Administration to limit noise over Long Island by requiring helicopters to fly a specific route has met with resistance. The Eastern Region Helicopter Council urged the FAA to withdraw the proposed rule, while other industry groups said the rule was unnecessary. The FAA received 910 public submissions in a request for comment on the proposed rule.
