Obama orders officials to plan restoration of Gulf after spill

President Barack Obama ordered government officials to craft a long-term economic and environmental plan to help the Gulf Coast and its people recover from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. The plan will focus on measures to restore "the unique beauty and bounty of this region" and study the post-spill needs of affected communities, Obama said. States, fishermen, businesses and conservationists will help design the plan.
