Tampa General Hospital prepares to go smoke-free

Tampa General Hospital hosted a three-hour kickoff event of its tobacco-free rule on Wednesday in anticipation of the real tobacco ban on its campus and offsite facilities beginning Jan. 3 next year. The project also includes smoking-cessation programs and free pulmonary function screenings, the hospital's wellness coordinator said.
