Biggest solar plant in N.M. to offer economic, job benefits

Ground was recently broken for a 500-acre solar plant near Deming, N.M. It will be the state's largest solar plant. Some "benefits of the project to the local and regional economy include millions of dollars in direct and indirect economic benefits, and about 300 temporary construction jobs," said Ray Powell, state land commissioner. The project is scheduled for completion by May 2014.
