Coles is fined $61,200 amid country-of-origin produce confusion

Australian chain Coles Supermarkets has paid $61,200 in fines but denied wrongdoing after being accused of improperly hanging a Helping Australia Grow sign, which touts local produce, above imported products. The retailer notes that packaging discloses country of origin, but the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission says the sign overshadows such a small message.
