Hewlett-Packard shuttered its mobile phone division two years ago, but the company has plans to make a comeback, an executive told an Indian newspaper. "It would be silly if we say no. HP has to be in the game," said Yam Su Yin, a senior director for HP's Asia-Pacific region, who declined to give a time frame for the new handsets. HP failed to make a dent in the smartphone market after buying the webOS platform from Palm in 2010 and releasing the Palm Pre phone and Touchpad tablet.
