Indiana legislation to boost patients' access to vaccines prompted Walgreen to considerably widen vaccine accessibility throughout its 204 locations in the state. Prescriptions will no longer be necessary for patients ages 65 and up to obtain the pneumococcal vaccine, while patients ages 11 and up can receive the human papillomavirus vaccine, meningococcal vaccine, influenza vaccine and tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis vaccine without a prescription.
