Newly discovered malware relies on teamwork to survive and thrive

Researchers have discovered a pair of Windows viruses that work in tandem to outwit security firewalls by providing regular software updates for each other that make the bugs temporarily undetectable. According to Microsoft malware researcher Hyun Choi, the partners in crime, called Vobfus and Beebone, enjoy a "cyclical relationship" that makes it possible for them to stay embedded in infected machines, giving cybercriminals access to user files.
