N.J. Senate allows drones, with restrictions

The N.J. Senate voted to approve use of drones by police, fire and emergency management personnel, with restrictions on their use and a proviso that non-relevant data collected be discarded after two weeks. "Although drones offer a solution to overcome cost and manpower shortages, it is crucial that all parties uphold certain standards of privacy," said Sen. Nicholas Sacco, D-Hudson.
