PG&E promotes benefits of Calif. nuclear plant

PG&E held a meeting with businesses and community leaders in San Luis Obispo, Calif., to promote the benefits of relicensing the nearby Diablo Canyon nuclear plant. The facility injects $920 million into the local economy while supporting nearly 1,500 jobs and benefiting other businesses. "We think it's good to have that positive impact," said Ed Halpin, the company's senior vice president and chief nuclear officer.
