Ph.D in robotics leads to movie about robots

A book and a movie form an unconventional career path for Daniel Wilson, recently awarded a Ph.D in robotics by Carnegie Mellon University. Wilson's best-selling book "Robopocalypse," about robots trying to take over the planet, is scheduled to made into a movie directed by director Steven Spielberg. The author says he pursued writing when he learned job prospects related to his doctorate would have confined him to programming computers.
