Pilots can fly more safely with head-up displays, expert says

Commercial airline pilots are increasingly able to use head-up displays, a technology originally developed for the military that allows pilots to see important information while looking out the windshield. "Eyes up and out is a much safer and more efficient way to fly," said Kent Statler, executive vice president at Rockwell Collins.
