An estimated 1 million people participated in an LGBT Pride parade in San Francisco on Sunday, as same-sex couples celebrated the return of marriage equality to California. Among them was Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who led a parade contingent of 700 Facebook employees. In New York, the parade's grand marshal honors went to Edie Windsor, whose case against DOMA resulted in a landmark victory at the Supreme Court last week. "If somebody had told me 15 years ago that I would be the marshal of New York City’s Gay Pride parade in 2013, at the age of 84, I wouldn’t have believed it," Windsor said. In Istanbul, Turkey, 20,000 turned out for a parade that drew just a couple dozen marchers a decade ago.
