Small study finds connection between Crohn's, enteroviruses

Crohn's disease may be associated with an enterovirus found in the intestines, according to a small study of 24 children by researchers from Uppsala University in Sweden. The study team said enteroviruses were spotted in the intestines of each pediatric Crohn's patient while a control group of children who did not have the disease carried few, if any, enteroviruses.
