Study: OEMs look at reverse logistics to stand out in the market

A joint study conducted by Deloitte and arvato found that original equipment manufacturers are beginning to see reverse logistics as a significant strategy in making their companies stand out in the market. The study found that a growing number of OEMs are opting to swap-out or replace consumer electronics instead of spending on repairs because of rising transportation and processing costs. "Best-in-class aftermarket services are now an essential element for high-tech companies to differentiate themselves from their competitors and ensure successful long-term brand loyalty in the marketplace," said Marcus Karten, arvato Hightech vice president of global business development.
