Working night shifts long-term may double breast cancer risk

Night-shift work for 30 years or more was linked to a twofold increased risk of developing breast cancer, according to a Canadian study in the journal Occupational and Environmental Medicine. However, researchers noted that women who worked night shifts for fewer than 30 years were not at greater risk of having breast cancer.
