Convention security puts Big Dig work on hold

Security surrounding the upcoming Democratic National Convention may delay some of the construction on Boston's $14.6 billion Big Dig project. Project managers say they will shift their efforts to take advantage of road and rail closures instead, and contractors who are delayed because of the convention will get an extra week to finish their work.
