Big Dig tunnel leaks worsen

Three years after Massachusetts state officials vowed to plug thousands of leaks in Boston's Big Dig tunnels, the water continues to leak, and nearly 2 million gallons of water has leaked into the project's Thomas P. O'Neill tunnel, an 18% increase over last year, according to the Boston Globe. Officials say they have been able to plug hundreds of leaks but that new leaks open up where patches were earlier placed.
