New technologies to boost in vitro diagnostics in Western Europe

The Western European market for in vitro diagnostics is expected to reach about $12.65 billion in six years, driven by the emergence of segments such as point-of-care testing and molecular diagnostics, according to a Frost & Sullivan report. An aging population and new EU member countries have helped raise the market size for IVD in the region, a research analyst said.
