Cirrus co-founder works to raise capital for light jet program

The chairman and co-founder of Cirrus Design, Alan Klapmeier, has been pitching the company's Vision SJ50 single-engine light jet program to capital investors with the hopes of raising $120 million in new equity for the program. The original plan for the Vision was that the program would be financed by a combination of cash generated by the core business of the SR20 and SR22 jets, but with deliveries down, the company had less funding than expected.
