2 groups collaborate on design standards for wind turbines

A lack of design standards for a "wind turbine generator system" prompted the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Wind Energy Association to form a partnership that led to the creation of RP2011, writes Nestor Agbayani of Agbayani Structural Engineering, and Rolando Vega of the University of Texas in San Antonio.
