ACA employer mandate put off by White House until 2015

The White House is delaying until 2015 the health insurance mandate for employers, a key provision of the Affordable Care Act that would require large employers to provide health insurance to their employees. "We have heard concerns about the complexity of the requirements and the need for more time to implement them effectively," wrote Mark Mazur, the Treasury Department's assistant secretary for tax policy, in a blog post. The delay prompted questions about the future of other ACA provisions, including next year's mandate for individuals to acquire health insurance.
