AMA addresses patient interaction, EHR interoperability

The American Medical Association House of Delegates voted to approve a policy addressing interaction with patients while incorporating computers and EHRs into exams. The policy encourages physicians to talk with patients and incorporate questions about technology use into patient-satisfaction surveys. The board has also voted to advocate for greater EHR interoperability.
