App-based taxi service expands to helicopters

Uber, the application-based taxi service, will expand to helicopters for the July 4 weekend, offering helicopter flights between three heliports in New York City and the East Hampton Airport. The experimental service, which the company is calling UberCHOPPER, will be available for one day only, Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m.
