Apple's iOS is dominating in mobile ad market

The iPhone and iPad significantly increased their chunks of global mobile advertising market share in the past year, according to Velti. The iPhone's share climbed more than 7 percentage points to 27.5%, while the iPad's share increased to 17.1%. Overall, iOS accounted for 64% of mobile ads, while Android fell to 36% from 41% the previous year.
