Brookshire Bros. uses Big Data to trim energy use

Brookshire Bros. is improving energy efficiency, predicting potential equipment failure and ensuring food safety by leveraging Big Data. The 76-store chain uses E2, a facility-management system by Emerson Climate Technologies, to collect data on refrigeration, lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Brookshire aims to not only save on cost and energy use but also maximize the quality of perishable food.
