D.C. area increases use of SBA lending

Small Business Administration lending is up 38% in fiscal 2013 in the Washington, D.C., area. That has helped companies add 2,300 jobs. "Demand is absolutely increasing," said Eric Feldstein, a business banker at M&T Bank. "If you were to look at not just SBA but overall small-business lending, we're up about 40% year over year."
