Dealing with the landscape when the rains don't stop

If you've made sure your plantings are in soil that drains, the soggy weather in the Northeast shouldn't do much harm to a landscape. However, while it still rains, don't walk in the gardens or touch the plants when they're wet to avoid doing damage, say gardening experts. Then, after the rains stop, cut back perennials if need be and add organic material to the soil, they suggest.
