Digital ad spending in financial services sector to hit $5.2 billion this year

Digital advertising spending in the U.S. financial services sector is projected to grow almost 10% annually for the next five years to $7.38 billion in 2017, according to eMarketer. Nearly two-thirds of those dollars go to direct-response marketing campaigns, the report found. Search and display are currently the biggest spending targets, while mobile, native and local advertising are expected to increase.
