Ind. exempts aviation fuel from sales tax

In an effort to draw more aviation traffic to the state, Indiana is exempting aviation fuel and maintenance and service work from the state's 7% sales tax. Owners and employees at the state's airports and fixed-base operators are pleased with the move. "I think we are going to see an increase in aviation activity across the board," said Tom McCord of Metropolitan Airport's Tom Wood Aviation.
