Marketers prefer e-mail to social media, study says

E-mail outreach continues to deliver strong results for brands, and outperforms social media on some key performance metrics, according to a Custora study. Customers acquired through e-mail have a lifetime value to a brand of about 12% greater than average, while Facebook delivers slightly above-average returns and Twitter customers are worth 23% less than the average.
