Neb. provider confirms data breach

Wedgewood Legacy Medical in Lincoln, Neb., announced a data breach affecting a doctor's 2,125 patients after a computer chip containing patient records was lost in May. Compromised data include full names of patients as well as their birth dates and addresses. The provider confirmed that the chip did not contain any financial, insurance or Social Security information of affected patients.
