Overruns push price of Miss. power plant to $4.45B

Costs will continue to rise for Mississippi Power's power plant in Kemper County, Miss., according to the company. The overruns, over $1.1 billion more than originally estimated, would raise the cost of the project to $4.45 billion. The company says the additional cost is due in part to "problems with the productivity of construction labor, supplies ... and projected costs for fuel."
